The championship provides visibility, acceleration, and access to world-class mentors. For a startup to win here, beating out thousands of global entries, is a testament to the strength of the idea and the execution behind it.
From “Does Anyone Know a Guy?” to Dubai’s App of the Year
Most great ideas start with someone being genuinely annoyed.
For Mariam Al Nuaimi, that annoyance was trying to find a reliable courier for her small business. She was calling friends and family just to get a package delivered. When she realized there was no easy way to connect people needing deliveries with people who could help at any time, the spark for Boom was lit.
She pitched the problem to her friend, Mariam Al Marri, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Mariam Al Marri had just wrapped up a User Experience (UX) course and immediately saw the potential to turn that frustration into a seamless digital journey.
Suddenly, the wheels weren't just rolling; they were accelerating. They came up with the concept and set out to create a community-powered logistics platform where anyone could deliver, earn, and connect.
